The editing process is my greatest love within journalism. I’ve had the opportunity to be copy editor, online copy editor and lifestyle editor for TREND magazine at Iowa State, and that experience made me the writer I am today.
AP style, voice, the importance of action verbs and anecdotal ledes – these are all elements I’ve learned from editing, and I’m constantly discovering new tricks that take a story to another level.
