As a journalist, integrity and objectivity are necessary qualities that I constantly strive to embody. But what I’ve also learned from my time studying journalism is it’s a necessary means of giving a voice to the voiceless. Therefore, writing with compassion and seeking out stories with meaning and representation is my personal aim. I also do my best to be aware of my conscience and put others before myself by focusing on building solid relationships and trust with sources and readers.
